Antelope Canyon on Navajo Nation land near Page, Arizona, is the most famous slot canyon in the American Southwest.
Water from above the canyon travels through cracks and caverns in the sandstone until it builds up significant speed near Antelope Canyon. As the flood water rushes and spirals through the canyon formations it continually sands and reshapes the canyon walls into masterpieces.
