Thousands of statues watch over the city the city of Prague from pedestals in public squares, parks, building alcoves, church eaves and even bridges.
So pervasive are the statues's eyes that a visitor may experience that eerie feeling one has when being secretly observed.
One of these statues is The Iron Man (or The Iron Knight) outside Prague's New Town Hall. Although more than a hundred years old, it looks like the villain Darth Vader of the Star Wars movies, but one of the legends says that this sculpture is actually a knight forever frozen as a statue for being cruel.
Is this statue evidence that Darth Vader wasn't an idea of George Lucas? Shall we fight for the sculptor's (Ladislav Saloun) copyright?
