If you ever have the chance to visit the west coast of the United States take your time to go and see Monument Valley and you will for sure never forget these massive but beautiful rocks that have been formed by mother nature.
Change comes slowly to this rugged land of pinnacles, mesas and buttes. And that's only fitting, given that it took eons of wind, rain and other forces to carve the magnificent spires, alcoves and monoliths that have come to symbolize the untamed West. This burnished red land tinged with the pale green of yucca, juniper and blue sage is populated by sleeping dragons, giant elephants, rabbits, bears and other fanciful shapes divined from the sandstone monoliths. In addition to the many natural formations, there are over 100 ancient Anasazi sites containing petroglyphs and architecture left behind from the Anasazi people who inhabited the area.
One of the most truly unique places on earth, Monument Valley is a sight everyone should behold.
